Julie Jobe

Piano Instructor

Julie Jobe began playing piano at age eight, with her mother as her first piano teacher. In high school, she studied under Dr. Beth Eubank for piano and, with a scholarship from the AGO, with Larry Robinson for organ. At Pensacola Christian College, she studied with Daisy de Luca Jaffe, concert pianist, and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English and music (piano performance). She has directed junior high and high school chorus, with the high school choir advancing to AACS national competition in 2011. In addition, she has accompanied extensively for choirs and soloists, including serving for over twelve years as church pianist. She began teaching private piano in 2001 and most lately taught at Oklahoma City University's Performing Arts Academy. Former students have gone on to gain advanced degrees and to become music teachers themselves.
